Controlled Folder Access
Last Updated:
Windows 10, version 1709 (“Fall Creators Update”) includes a new feature called Controlled folder access. When activated, Controlled folder access can intercept an application and prevent it from saving changes to certain folders.
For eWallet® this means that if Controlled folder access is turned on, eWallet may not be able to save changes to your wallet file.
There are two main options for resolving this (pick any one):
- Turn off Controlled folder access: (in Step 4, select Off)
- Allow eWallet to save files: (in Step 4 under Use the Windows Defender Security app to allow specific apps, select eWallet)
