Troubleshooting Sync via iCloud
Every so often, we’ll hear from one of our eWallet® users that when syncing via iCloud (rather than Dropbox, Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive), one of their devices does not get changes to the wallet right away.

Dropbox 3 device limit does not apply to eWallet
The Dropbox help page on their service limits (updated March 2019) does now reference a 3-device limit; however, apparently this limit is for Dropbox’s own apps and not applications like eWallet that use the Dropbox API.

eWallet sync was successful, but I can't find my data on my iPhone!
eWallet says my Synchronization was successful, but I don’t see my data on my iOS device. Be sure you are opening the correct wallet on your iPhone or iPad! Start eWallet on the iOS device, but instead of entering your password, tap the ‘Wallets’ button to view a list of all the wallets on that device.

Syncing between iOS 7 and iOS 8 devices using iCloud
eWallet’s built-in SyncPro® sync engine (included with eWallet® version 8 for iOS) allows you to sync between supported devices using the cloud. Normally you have the option of having eWallet use either iCloud or Dropbox for the syncing process; however, Apple’s new iOS 8 iCloud Drive feature is incompatible with its older iCloud Documents and Data supported in iOS 7.

ERROR: Object reference not set to an instance of an object when syncing eWallet on Windows PC
If eWallet’s sync settings are corrupt on a Windows PC, you may get an error when syncing with any type of sync location. To resolve it, uninstall eWallet, REBOOT the PC, and then reinstall the latest version from our website.

ERROR: Synchronization cannot be performed because this wallet and destination wallet are not using the same password.
This error means that the wallet file you have set to sync on your desktop does not have the same password as the wallet file with the same name on whatever device you are syncing to.

Yes, you can sync eWallet® wallet files between multiple mobile devices and even multiple computers, as long as you have licensed copies of eWallet running where you need them. Using eWallet’s built-in Cloud Sync, each device or computer would sync against a master wallet in the cloud.

eWallet 7 and later now allows inserted background images and Picture Card pictures to synchronize. Custom icons (.ico files) created for Windows do not currently synchronize to the other platform versions. We recommend using the built-in icons or emoji for card icons if you need cross-platform support.

If you’re having problems of any kind with SyncPro synchronization, first check the synchronization log. Pick Home → View Log to open it up. The synchronization log will frequently help you figure out what’s wrong with your synchronization.
